Metar is too old

I installed 201221 RC1, All looked okay. Noticed at the top of the Metar window 'a message 'Metar is too old'.

The displayed Metar is up to date and correct. Tried different airports, same message.

I ran the old version again. The displayed Metar was the same but this time no message.

Great program use it all the while.

I have what is presumably the latest version (2.04.834) and get 'Metar is too old' shown at most airports. What does that mean, in terms of what happens to the weather in FS9 and what is the solution please?
