Write Upper winds in file

Write Upper winds in file was created by SkyCamel
Hi,
would it be possible to automatically store the upper winds in a file?
I'm using FScaptain wherein I can read the metar file your writing to disk, but winds aloft are not included.
I can also let FScaptain read the weather from FSX and than I can also see the upper winds FSrealWX injected, but than FScaptain doesn't read the metar, it's one or the other. So if somehow the winds could also be written into a file that would be helpful.
Cheers,
Luc

If you find an error, then please give me exactly about your system. Which sim (FSX / P3D / Xplane). Which connection (FSUIPC / SimConnect / FSrealWX-Bridge). Which OS.

I will enter it in my ToDo.
Do you have a template?

Hi,
I just got the relevant information from the FScaptain developer.
I hope you will be able to include winds aloft in your file output so it can be used in FScaptain
Cheers,
Luc
one format that FSCaptain can read is that of Active Sky. For each station, add the METAR and the winds aloft to a file. Each entry looks as follows:
CYHZ::CYHZ 071000Z 36005KT 15SM FEW006 FEW030 FEW250 M08/M08 A3047 RMK SF1SC1CI1 SF TR SLP328::CYHZ 070843Z 0709/0806 01008KT P6SM OVC006 TEMPO 0709/0710 SCT006 FM071000 32005KT P6SM SKC FM071700 21007KT P6SM SCT150 BKN240 FM072100 20008KT P6SM OVC100 FM072300 20010KT 11/2SM -SN OVC050 FM080100 18012KT 3/4SM -SN VV007 RMK NXT FCST BY 071200Z::7,11,-6.64/337,18,-5.86/343,21,-7.59/13,32,-15.42/5,40,-28.83/352,55,-40.68/342,82,-54.24/341,101,-58.41/340,74,-57.74
CYHZ is the ICSO of the station (here Halifax). Different entries are separated by :: and the first few items are the current Metar, followed by those in the near future. The last entry is a list of temperatures and winds aloft at 3000', 6000', 9000', 12000', 18000', 24000', 30000', 34000', and 39000', separated by /. For instance, the first entry 7,11,-6.64 means that at 3000' the wind is 011@7Kts with outside temperature -6.64 Celsius.
I am not sure whether this specific format (:: and /) is copyright protected by Hifi Sims (the developer of Active Sky), but Metars and winds aloft data are not. So any file that contains these data would enable FSCaptain to access weather information prior to commencing a flight.

Yes, but not finished yet.
You have to create or import a flight plan. Otherwise, too much wind data must be loaded. I am looking for the best way to get it right.

Could you use the PMDG Wind Uplink created by Simbrief to upload to FSrealWX? (see arttachement)
You can open (read) the file with notepad.

Luc

For PMDG is already integrated.
Set path in FSrealWX-Settings.
Download weather, import flight plan, enter your flight level and calculate FP.

Yes, but the problem is that the weather file you write to disk doesn't include any wind data. I need this to be used in FScaptain.
