What I have noticed is that when vis 9999 or 10SM is reported on METARS XPrealWX sets it to 50000 Km. There are no options to make it lower. Where I live (the UK) it goes rarely beyond 20K, I would like an option to set the maximum value as low as I want, provided it is not lower than the METAR, so for 9999 I would like to be able to set it (from the FSrealWX interface) down to 10Km.
+1 for this as I have exactly the same issue with X-Plane.
It looks very much like a bug to me as the visibility configured with "Visibility when metar reported 9999 or 10SM" is never applied when 9999 is actually reported in the metar, but instead the "visibility limit" is applied, which can't be set lower than 50km (IMHO way too high for a minimum value).
